Five Reasons to Watch the Natsu Basho is live!
Check out my take on the forthcoming May Tournament.
I’m geeked friends. This tournament should be fascinating for a number of reasons.
I’m especially invested in the ozeki crisis and I’m eager to see who can grab the wins they need to get promoted. It’s not going to be easy for anyone them, though.
In my preview for the tournament, which just dropped on Bloody Elbow, you can read my thoughts on the dangers awaiting Kiribayama, Daieisho, Wakamotoharu and Hoshoryu.
Check it and let me know what you think in the comments.
While you are there tell me what you’re looking forward to in this tournament, too?
Also, if you do fantasy sumo, tell me your team!
This year my Beya Blades stable snagged:
Kiribayama
Midorifuji
Hokuseiho
Sadanoumi
Feeling pretty good about my chances.
Hosting some sort of fantasy sumo competition on BE is definitely something I’m thinking about doing, by the way.
Anyways - enjoy the piece!
Next up will be the live results and analyses I do once things get under way on May 14.
LFG!!!
Just found you. Wow- excellent article on the May basho! Looking forward to more as the tournament goes on. So much potential drama!
