Day 4 results, analysis and highlights are up on Bloody Elbow now. Check them out here (link).
A couple of great matches to tell you about there. Kotoeko vs. Oho and Ryuden vs. Atamifuji were both a lot of fun (for completely different reasons).
I also really enjoyed Takakeisho vs. Meisei and Onosho vs. Midorifuji.
NHK seem to be putting up 30 minute highlight packages, with English commentary, every day on YouTube. This is a stunning development from a company that seems loathe to give fans outside of Japan and easy option for watching sumo. However, the videos appear to be going out with a 24 hour delay. So it’s good for catching up and if you don’t mind spoilers.
If NHK did start putting those videos up soon after the events aired live, none of us would need to rely on the pirated content we’ve become so used to recently.
Bonus gif of today is a man who is kinda being lost in the shuffle after a number of high profile ozeki promotions. Also, I have a new nickname for him (which got a chuckle out of Mrs. Sumo Stomp).
