Day 9 is in the books and the leaders are putting a little distance between themselves and their chasers. With match-making shifting to record based bouts, we could see that change dramatically in the next few days, though.
Something I’ve enjoyed this basho is seeing a couple of wrestlers who had torrid times in previous tournaments this year showing a lot of improvement. I touch on that in today’s results, analysis and highlights post, which you can catch here (link).
My bout of the day was Chiyshoma vs. Hokuseiho, so check that out if you haven’t seen it yet. I also enjoyed Kirishima vs. Ura, Daieisho vs. Wakamotoharu, Kotoshoho vs. Myogiryu and Takakeisho vs. Mini-Takakeisho (I mean, Gonoyama).
