No spoilers and no jinxes.
Day 6 has come and gone and we’ve had yet more great matches. Now we’re at the stage where we are starting to see narratives emerge that will likely exist throughout the remainder of the tournament.
Those narratives include some wrestlers doing unexpectedly well. Sadly, they also include some others doing unexpectedly awful.
The results, analysis and highlights for Day 6 are on The Fight Site now for you to check out (link).
Some of my favourite bouts from this day were Roga vs. Churanoumi, Midorifuji vs. Meisei, Kotoshoho vs. Sadanoumi and Gonoyama vs. Atamifuji.
This day also saw two of our tournament leaders face-off with Mitakeumi meeting Ura. The ozeki matches had Kotozakura vs. Onosato, Hoshoryu vs. the tricky Tobizaru and Kirishima vs. Oho.
Bonus gif today is the prelude to Kotozakura vs. Onosato.
WTF Shodai! Everybody has him figured out. He has no defense. As long as he is moving forward, he is to be feared. But hit him first and get him going backward, and he's all yours.
